SAN DIEGO, CA (06/28/09) – SD United (7-1-2 WPSL Pacific-South) and Ajax America (8-1-1 WPSL Pacific-South) swapped places in the Pacific-South Division of the WPSL, as SD United's unlucky loss to the defending WPSL National Champions on June 28th dropped the home to second place after three weeks at the top. About the Team: FC SAINT LOUIS is a proud member of the WPSL -
Women's Premier Soccer League. The team consists of outstanding women soccer players from
Saint Louis and the surrounding areas and states. Now, with the formation of
FC SAINT LOUIS, young St. Louis soccer players will have outstanding role models and the
opportunity to fulfill their dreams by continuing to play soccer before college, during college off
seasons, and after college. We believe that soccer is the greatest sport in the world! It is our goal
to promote soccer in St. Louis, Missouri, and the USA!
About the Coaching:
Type of Players: College, post-college, former pros, and international.
Local Colleges: UM, Lindenwood, UMSt Louis, SLU, Wash U.
Player Tryouts: FC SAINT LOUIS will hold tryouts in early May for women ages 17 and up to play against Indiana, Chicago, Ohio, and other teams in the WPSL Midwest division. 2009 Home Games will be played at SPORTPORT in Maryland Heights starting in late May.
